Trying to figure out where to spend the 4th of July? Well, you are not alone! There is so much going on from fireworks and concerts to four day long celebrations! We promise you'll find something fun to do for the 4th of July!  Be sure to check back as we will continue to update this list, thanks! 

Here is a guide to many of the 4th of July Celebrations going on all over Arizona from Scottsdale, Phoenix, Cave Creek, Sedona, Prescott, Williams, Grand Canyon and everywhere in between!  Fireworks, concerts and more! Click on the links for maps and directions.
 

SCOTTSDALE, PHOENIX, CAVE CREEK, TEMPE, MESA, CHANDLER, SURPRISE, FORT MCDOWELL, LITCHFIELD PARK, PEORIA  - 4th of JULY CELEBRATIONS GUIDE

July 1 Light up the Sky (PHOENIX) Enjoy music, rides, games, arts, crafts, food, and fireworks at 9:10 pm. Maryvale Baseball Park, 6:30 – 10 pm, free, 602-262-6575.

July 1 – 2 Arizona's Celebration of Freedom (MESA) Enjoy this two-day celebration filled with classic cars, motorcycles, beer gardens, an art walk, music, street performers, games, family fun and more! Downtown Mesa, 6 – 10 pm, free, 480-644-2069.

July 2 The Greencards Concert (CAVE CREEK) Come out an enjoy this Grammy-nominated Bluegrass band from Australia perform new songs from The Brick Album. The concert kicks off with Rondavous at 8 pm. The Greencards will perform from 9 – 10:30 pm. Harold’s Corral, tickets $15 Premium Seats, $10 GA, $5 GA Standing, 480-488-1906.

July 3 FREE Concert (SCOTTSDALE) Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the sounds of Shallow Water, an upbeat party band. Train rides are $2 and carousel rides are $1 and children under the age of three ride free with a paying adult on either ride. Food will also be available for purchase. McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, 7:30 – 9 pm 480-312-2312.

July 3 “3rd of July” Fireworks Display (CAVE CREEK) Harold’s Corral is throwing a large party with live entertainment starting at 5 pm with an outside BBQ. EastonAshe will energize the crowd outside from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Country-western band Young Country will perform inside from 8:30 pm to closing. The festive evening will also feature drink specials, prizes, face painting, and the Games2U Mobile Video Theater, a self-powered truck featuring all the top games for systems XBox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii. July 3 Independence Day Music Festival (SCOTTSDALE) Featuring Country Music Star Blake Shelton and former American Idols Crystal Bowersox and Casey James. Gates open at 5 pm with the first act, Casey James taking the stage at 6:30. Following the three performances there will be the largest fireworks show in the Valley! Salt River Fields, tickets $18.50 - $92, 480-270-5000.

July 4 Independence Day Celebration (LITCHFIELD PARK) Join us at the Litchfield Park Recreation Center for the annual "Splash Bash" from 10 – 5pm. Enjoy water games, a DJ, hot dogs, shaved ice, watermelon, and more! Admission $2 per person, 3 and under are free, free with recreation swim pass, 623-935-9040.

July 4 Fabulous Phoenix Fourth (PHOENIX) This premier family event will feature three stages of live local entertainment, free inflatable rides, Kids Zone, a "Hurricane Beach" area where you can cool off, and a spectacular Patriotic Program complete with an F-16 flyover! Plus enjoy over 50 vendor booths including great festival foods and beverages. Steele Indian School Park, 6 pm, 602-262-6862.

July 4 Tempe Town Lake Festival (TEMPE) Kiwanis Club of Tempe 59th Annual Fireworks Spectacular will present the best fireworks show in the Valley shot from Mill Avenue bridge. Enjoy concert event stage, live music, inflatable Kid's Ride village, vendors, water fun and games for the entire family. Tempe Beach Park, Tickets $8 at gate or $15 for two, children 12 and under free, VIP BBQ tickets $30-$60, 4 – 11 pm, 480-350-5189.

July 4 4th of July All American Festival (PEORIA) Enjoy great entertainment on multiple stages, Kid Zone, Water Zone, F-16 flyover, hot dog eating contest, plus plenty of family friendly activities. The spectacular fireworks display starts at 9:15 pm. No alcohol or glass containers allowed into the event. Beer and concessions will be available for purchase. Peoria Sports Complex, 5 – 10 pm, Admission is $5 (children 12 and under are free), free parking, 623-773-8700.

July 4 Star Spangled 4th (GOODYEAR) Fun Activities for Kids plus live Music from the Grove Merchants! Enjoy a spectacular Fireworks Display. Goodyear Ballpark, 6 – 10pm, free, 623-882-3120.

July 4 4th of July Fireworks (CASA GRANDE) Come and enjoy music, games, food, bouncers, relay races and much more! Bring your blanket and/or lawn chair to enjoy the evening’s activities. Paul Mason Sportsplex, 7 pm, fireworks at 9 pm, 520-421-8677.

July 4 29th Annual 4th of July Celebration (SURPRISE) Come join us for America's favorite pastime, Baseball! Fireworks will follow the Rookie League Baseball Game at approximately 8:30 pm. Surprise Stadium, gates open at 4:30 pm, game starts at 5:30 pm, 623-222-2000.

July 4 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular (CHANDLER) Come to Tumbleweed Park with the family and celebrate the 4th of July at this free event presented by the Chandler Lions Club. Two bands will perform throughout the evening, activities for the kids, and a beer garden for the adults. Fireworks show is at 9:30 pm. Tumbleweed Park, 4 pm – 10:30 pm, parking $5, 480-236-9123.
 

SEDONA, PRESCOTT, PAYSON, COTTONWOOD  - 4th of JULY CELEBRATIONS GUIDE

July 1 - 4 4th of July Weekend Celebration (PAYSON) The event will feature great food vendors, bouncy houses, games, prizes, music, plus beautiful scenery! The Fireworks show and games are all FREE to the public. Come out and enjoy the fireworks at Green Valley Park at 9 pm on July 4th, call 928-474-5240 x7 for more information.

July 2 Tlaquepaque's Sizzlin' Summer Bash (SEDONA) Pie-eating contests with terrific prizes for kids of all ages and adults, foot-tapping Dixieland, hot jazz and blues, potato sack races, face painting, and star-spangled crafts for kids, scrumptious BBQ, and even a gleaming red local fire truck? It's Tlaquepaque's 4th of July, Sizzlin' Summer Bash celebration, Saturday, July 2nd from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is FREE. Cat Black Band, Band '56 and Red Rock Acapella perform. Fabulous Independence Day Sales from 20% to 50% off at selected Tlaquepaque shops. Call 928-282-4838 to register for the pie-eating contest, proceeds go to Toys For Tots.

Visit Prescott Arizona - 4th of JulyJuly 4 July 4th Celebration & Fireworks Show (PRESCOTT) Come for a day of fun in the sun for the whole family! Free craft tents for the kids, contests, carnival games plus cool giveaways. World’s Largest Waterslide and 8 other water slides, bungee jumping, climbing walls, pony rides, spinning gyro, electric swings, Tumbleweed, and much more! Plus great food and live entertainment with 4 bands playing all day and night!

July 4 Fantastic Family Fourth of July (COTTONWOOD) Celebrate Independence Day with hamburgers, watermelon, watermelon eating contests, patriotic salutes and the best pyrotechnic display in Northern Arizona! Activities for the children cost $10 - $15 for an all day wrist band. Cottonwood Kid's Park, 4 pm, free admission, parking $1, 928-639-3200.

July 3 Red, White and Boom! (TUCSON) Tucson College presents live music with Savor, a Santana tribute, Calexico, and Starship, featuring Mickey Thomas. Enjoy food vendors and a fireworks show. Pima County Fairgrounds, free, gates open at 5pm, concert 6pm, fireworks 10pm, 800-915-2096.

July 4 Let Freedom Sing Concert (TUCSON) Arts Express celebrates America's birthday with a concert of patriotic songs staged Centennial Hall, University of Arizona, 3 pm, free, 520-319-0400.

July 4 July 4th Celebration (TOMBSTONE) Tombstone hosts a family-style July 4th celebration with a softball tournament, food booths, street entertainments, and fireworks at Medigovich Field, Allen Street. The fun starts at 8:30 am, free, 520-457-3994.

July 4 July 4th Celebration (BENSON) Benson will celebrate the 4th of July starting with our parade at 9 am. The festivities will move to Lions Park following the parade for our annual "Water Fight". After the Water Fight, there will be entertainment all day long. The spectacular Fireworks show will start at about 8:30 pm. Come join us for this day of family fun! 520-586-4293.

July 4 July 4th Celebration (SIERRA VISTA) Sierra Vista celebrates July 4th with fun events all day, starting with a Pet Promenade at 7:30 am. Enjoy live concerts, food, vendors and evening fireworks display at 8:05 pm. Veteran's Memorial Park, free, 520-417-6960.

July 4 Old-fashioned July 4th (TUBAC) celebrate Independence Day with free, old-time games for kids at Tubac Presidio State Historical Park, shopping and dining in Tubac Village, and fireworks at Tubac Golf Resort. The games are from 10 am - noon, fireworks show at 8:45 pm. Parking for fireworks display $7. Call 520-398-2704 for more information and ask about special resort event/room package prices.

July 4 Tucson Padres 4th of July Spectacular (TUCSON) This holiday baseball game features the Tucson Padres vs Reno Aces, plus a star-spangled fireworks show. Kino Stadium, 7pm, 520-434-1367.

 

WILLIAMS, FLAGSTAFF, GRAND CANYON - 4th of JULY CELEBRATIONS GUIDE

July 1 – 3 Northern Arizona BBQ Festival (WILLIAMS) The Williams Main Street Association in partnership with the Special Olympics of Arizona presents this KCBS sanctioned BBQ cook-off July 1st & 2nd and an amateur backyard BBQ cook-off July 3rd. A beer garden featuring regional micro breweries, street dance and kids’ zone are all a part of this 4th of July weekend in the cool pines of Northern Arizona, 800-863-0546.

July 3 32nd Annual 4th of July Celebration (GRAND CANYON/TUSAYAN) As soon as the sun sets, our iconic Electric Light Night Parade will set into motion an evening filled with live music, dancing, great food and drink. Enjoy ol’fashioned games and activities, entertainment by James Peshlaki’s Native Dancers and the local band, Exit 64, an auction filled with some of the best items, tours and getaways from our local attractions as well as the surrounding area. The fun begins at 3 pm, Entrance fee $5 per adult, kids 12 and under free. Electric Light Night Parade is free and starts at 8pm. Visit Williams Arizona - 4th of JulyJuly 4 Home Town 4th of July and Parade (WILLIAMS) One of the longest parades in Northern Arizona starting at 6pm through downtown, local Rotary BBQ, Kiwanis Korn Roast and long running ice cream social at the Methodist Church, Cataract Creek Rambler steam engine runs all weekend long at the Grand Canyon Railway and many more family activities, 800-863-0546.

July 4 15th Annual 4th of July Parade (FLAGSTAFF) Drawing more than 10,000 people, this annual tradition has more than 100 entries. Designated an “Arizona Treasure” by former Governor Janet Napolitano. Historic Downtown Flagstaff, 9 am, 928-774-4505.

Thank you for this list again! I used it last year and we decided to spend the 4th of July in Prescott where it's cooler. This year we might check out Sedona and spend the weekend.

Any news about when fireworks will be done at Fort McDowell this year 2011?? I heard it was the 3rd but not certain the source was valid. Thanks

This listing was incredibly helpful last year. My husband and I get out of the heat and travel with our RV and it's very helpful to know the celebrations that are happening throughout the state. Thank you.

So many choices for what different 4th of July events are going on. I never thought about mixing it up and heading out of town to see something different. Thanks for the post.
