Bischoff's Shades of the West was founded in 1971 by Anselm Bischoff who watched his grandfather collect and trade with the Native Americans from a near by reservation in Chinle, Arizona. Anselm's passion for the fine arts and crafts can be seen throughout the eclectic array of wonderful items found at this must-see shopping destination located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.

This gallery-style shop, is located on the historic corner of Brown Avenue and Main Street, occupying the site of Scottsdale's first general store. Be sure to visit Bischoff's Shades of the West and take home a piece of the Southwest. Not only can you find everything needed to transform a bunkhouse into a southwestern palace, but they also feature southwestern-flavored items, hats, kitchenware, gourmet spices, Minnetonka Moccasins and regional books.
