Grammy Nominated The Greencards Perform July 2nd

Not only will this be the first Bluegrass concert at Harold’s Corral, the concert provides a rare chance to see The Greencards perform new songs from The Brick Album due out on June 21.

“We’re excited to showcase a new form of music, which is a sub-genre of country music,” said Danny Piacquadio, managing partner for Harold’s Corral. “The Greencards have toured with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, their releases have topped Billboard Bluegrass charts, and two of their singles have garnered Grammy nominations.”

The Greencards have also earned ovations from “newgrass” music devotees at MerleFest and rock loyalists at Lollapalooza. The four piece band, spearheaded by Australians Carol Young and Kym Warner, views their latest release as their most significant to date.

Produced and engineered by studio veteran Justin Niebank (Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, Keith Urban), The Brick Album is the first to successfully infuse The Greencards’ eclectic musical references with the excitement they generate onstage.

“We’ve been striving for this since our first record,” said mandolinist Warner. “We recorded totally in one room this time, with very little isolation. It was all about doing the performance now, without going back to add anything later on.”

The July 2nd concert kicks off with Rondavous at 8 p.m. and The Greencards will perform from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.Ticketmaster.com and at Harold’s Corral, 6895 E. Cave Creek Road, in Cave Creek for $15, $10, and $5 (Premium seats, General Admission seats, and General Admission standing). The concert is co-presented by The Roastery of Cave Creek (ROC2).
