Visit Prescott Arizona
Popular for its cooler temperatures, sunny skies and wealth of outdoor activities, Prescott is surrounded by breathtaking landscape and one of the nation's largest ponderosa pine forests. Five area lakes provide loads of kayaking, canoeing and fishing opportunities.
Prescott's Courthouse Plaza is the pivot around which the town was designed and built. Today quaint boutiques, fantastic restaurants and an eclectic array of galleries featuring local, regional and national artists surround this famous landmark. The historic haunts (some rumored to be haunted) of the famous, not-so famous and the infamous line Whiskey Row on the west side of Courthouse Square. The Palace Saloon, also on the National Register of Historic Places, serves libations on the same bar that served Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp.
