MIMFEST 2015: Outdoor Music Festival in Phoenix

The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) presents MIMFest 2015, a weekend-long celebration of music from around the world. Extraordinary local, national, and international musical acts will perform on three stages, offering guests a one-of-a-kind musical experience.

MIMFest 2015 is inspired by MIM’s commitment to celebrating musical traditions of the world. Set against the backdrop of the stunning Arizona desert, the two-day festival showcases more than 20 musical and performance acts as well as 12 food trucks serving global fare, Four Peaks beers, and local wines. It will be a weekend of incomparable entertainment, culture, and cuisine!

MIMFEST 2015 Headliners

This year’s headliners include Ozomatli, a Los Angeles–based group performing Latin/funk/hip-hop and everything in between, on Saturday and renowned songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird on Sunday. Other highlights include a performance by Paraguay’s inspiring Recycled Orchestra, composed of youths playing instruments made from recycled trash, which will kick off the festival on Saturday and Grammy-winning bass guitarist Victor Wooten.

In addition to performances on the three stages, there will be a variety of local musicians, dancers, and artists to enhance the experience, including a samba group, aerialists, and a Dixieland band. Guests of all ages will also enjoy rangoli folk art, complimentary face painting, henna art, acoustic instrument demonstrations, and craft activities.

Tickets can be purchased online at MIM.org, via phone at 480.478.6000, on-site at MIM’s Guest Service desk, or at the festival on a first-come, first-served basis.
