Cinco De Mayo

Here in Arizona, we have the joy of year-round Taco Tuesdays at pop up corner stands and Mom & Pop restaurants along with access to every form of authentic Mexican cuisine and culture! But for the once-a-year Cinco de Mayo holiday, Arizona knows how to throw a fiesta!

FUN FACT!

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the defeat of the French army during the Battle of Puebla in Mexico on May 5, 1862. It is not to be confused with Mexico’s Independence Day. Today, Cinco de Mayo is not that important in Mexico and mainly celebrated only in the state of Puebla. (But we here are always looking for good reason to celebrate!)

Here are some fun ways to experience the holiday, whether you live here or you’re lucky enough to pass through right at this time!
