Sonoran Desert Falconry – Hawk Walk

The origins of falconry are a mystery. Sometime around 1700 BC a partnership was born between man and birds of prey. The objective was simple: food. Food for the man and food for the bird. That partnership has evolved over the centuries to the hunting sport it is today, only practiced by slightly over 4,000 people in the United States. The founders of Sonoran Desert Falconry are offering a unique opportunity to glance into this past-time, that now spans the globe in practice, uniting cultures, and people in a common goal–the pursuit of game.

Sonoran Desert Falconry, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 educational organization founded to raise awareness on the most bio-diverse desert in the world, with an emphasis on birds of prey. This land is overflowing with vegetation, life, and history. The Sonoran Desert Hawk Walk gives you the opportunity to experience this land like you’ve never seen it before.
