Set to music by Philip Glass, Rio explores the movement and vivacity found in Brazilian culture. Inspired by samba, this playful ballet recalls the joy of the country of Brazil.

Choreographed by 2018 Tony Award-Winner and one of the most sought-after choreographers today, this ballet is compact, intense, and lightning fast. With music by Philip Glass, this Arizona premiere will be the highlight of the fall dance season.

Named “Best-Up-And-Coming=Choreographer” By Phoenix New Times, Ballet Arizona dancer Nayon Iovino will present another brand new work on the Orpheum stage entitled Inherent, featuring scores by Vivaldi, Shostakovich, and Weber. A story about the legacy of life through dance, this piece takes you on a journey and grabs you by the heart.
