Arizona Biennial 2018 Art Exhibit

Take in the works of over 70 Arizona-only artists in a variety of media at the oldest-running statewide juried exhibition. The Arizona Biennial 2018 Art Exhibit is at the Tucson Museum of Art for you to experience along with many other exhibits.

Arizona Biennial 2018 Art Exhibit Guest Juror

The work juried into the exhibition was selected by guest juror Rebecca R. Hart.

Hart joined the Denver Art Museum as Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art in Fall 2015. Since arriving in Denver she has organized Audacious: Contemporary Artists Speak Out; Mi Tierra: Contemporary Artists Explore Place; and Shade: Clyfford Still / Mark Bradford. Previously, she was the associate curator and department head of contemporary art at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA, 2005-2015).

At the DIA, she was the organizing curator for Shirin Neshat’s mid-career retrospective Detroit (2013) and Seoul, Korea (2014). Additionally, Hart facilitated Matthew Barney’s Detroit-based performances SEKHU and KHU (2009-10), which became Act 2 of Barney’s RIVER OF FUNDAMENT film. She was the organizing co-curator for Julie Mehretu: City Sitings (2007-08) and more than twenty other exhibitions.
