Only two hours’ drive from Las Vegas, 3 hours from Flagstaff and 4 hours from Phoenix, the Grand Canyon’s West Rim offers visitors to experience this Seventh Natural Wonder by air, water and Sky. Located on the Hualapai Indian reservation, immersed in natural beauty and authentic Native American culture, Grand Canyon West offers multiple once-in-a-lifetime adventures, including the World Famous Grand Canyon Skywalk!
World Famous Grand Canyon Skywalk
This is the location for the World Famous Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass-floored, horseshoe-shaped suspension bridge 4,000 feet above the Canyon’s floor. Built by the Hualapai Nation in 2007, this unique vantage point beyond the Canyon’s walls feels like walking among the clouds. Condé Nast Traveler has named the Grand Canyon Skywalk one of the “World’s Best Observation Decks.”
Grand Canyon West Adventures
Paid admission to Grand Canyon West includes parking, shuttle transportation between the Hualapai Ranch, Guano Point and Eagle Point scenic overlooks, a visitation certificate, photo opportunities with members of the Hualapai Tribe and self-guided walks through the cowboy-themed Hualapai Ranch and a Native American village. Grand Canyon West offers the only Helicopter tours to the bottom of the Canyon and a Pontoon ride along the Colorado River.
For visitors who have whitewater rafting the Grand Canyon on their bucket lists, Hualapai River Runners lets you avoid the years-long wait for rafting slots. The rafting season is March – October. Reservations are recommended but many rafters are accommodated calling the day before. Hualapai River Runners employs experienced guides ready to take guests on a 40-mile excursion along the mighty Colorado River. This day-long adventure combines the rush of shooting whitewater rapids with a scenic, moderate hike and the serene views of a meandering float along one of America’s most gorgeous rivers. At day’s end, guests can finish their journey by helicopter, soaring from the Canyon floor to the rim.
